Tybee Island Observation Tower

Cockspur Lighthouse Locations:

A small island off the southeastern tip of Cockspur Island that marks the South Channel of the Savannah River of northern Georgia.

Harville House Location: 3955, 1850 Harville Road, Statesboro, Georgia

The brick tower was built in 1837 and went under renovation to add the lantern 1848. Used as a beacon to mark ships entering Savannah shipping channel. In 1909 the lantern was deactivated and the lighthouse is currently closed to the public. The Lighthouse is at risk from erosion.

Harville House

In 1862 Samuel Winkler Harville purchased a 754 acre farm, and in 1894, his son, Henry Keebler Harville, purchased the property and built the Harville House. Originally one story but later expanded for the growing family. Abandon in the 1970s. The style of the house resembles southern houses. Somewhat similar to southern plantation houses.
